Saint Elmo’s Hamburg teamed up with football legend Rudi Völler to create a standout campaign for expert during the 2024 UEFA European Football Championship. As the star testimonial of a neighborhood-themed campaign and the brand ambassador throughout the tournament, Rudi Völler proved to be the perfect match. His approachable, down-to-earth personality not only reflected expert's brand values but also made him a relatable and beloved figure, appealing to a broad audience beyond football fans.
At expert, the neighborhood wins
The EURO campaign, titled “The Neighborhood Wins,” blended humor with the charm of Rudi Völler, portraying him as a neighbor in need of a new TV and expert advice – just like anyone else.
Multimedia EURO Experience
The campaign’s nine commercials featuring Rudi Völler were broadcast on high-reach TV channels, ATV, and social media throughout the tournament. The production was managed by mypony, directed by Niels Münter, with photography by Jim Gramming.
Beyond the commercials, the campaign included audio spots, digital advertisements, a variety of POS materials and activities, and a gamified sweepstake. The grand prize? An exclusive “Meet & Greet with Rudi Völler.”
